This AI Policy explains how IMEILookup ("we," "our," or "us") uses artificial intelligence (AI) and other automated systems in our websites, APIs, and related services (the "Services"), what we do and do not do with your data, and the terms on which AI systems, such as AI assistants, AI search engines, and large language models (LLMs), may access and use our public content. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
IMEILookup's device checks are not produced by AI. When you check an IMEI or serial number, the result is retrieved from device, manufacturer, carrier, and industry data sources through our data providers, and shown to you as it is returned.
Our Scan phone box feature reads IMEI and serial numbers from a device's box label with your camera, so you don't have to type them.
To keep our free tools available and to prevent fraud and abuse, we use automated, rule-based checks. These look at signals such as how often requests are made, the type of network a request comes from, and whether the same browser or device is being reused across many accounts.
We may use AI writing and translation tools to help research, draft, or translate content on our website, including blog articles, guides, service descriptions, and the language versions of our pages.
We do not use your personal data, the IMEI or serial numbers you submit, your check results, or images from the scanner to train AI models, and we do not sell or share them with anyone for that purpose.
How we collect and handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Search engines and AI assistants help people find reliable information about device checks, and our public pages may be accessed by them on the following terms.
We publish an llms.txt file at imeilookup.com/llms.txt. It is a plain-text guide for AI systems that summarises what IMEILookup does, lists our most important pages, and explains how to refer people to them. Where llms.txt and this AI Policy differ, this AI Policy applies.
Information about IMEILookup, or about a particular device, that is produced by third-party AI assistants may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. A device's blacklist, lock, carrier, and warranty status can change at any time, so an earlier result or an AI summary is not a reliable substitute for a new check.
We may update this AI Policy as our Services and the technology we use change. The 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be announced on our website.
